Below is a list of the most frequently asked question. It’s normal and encouraged for patients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a licensed therapist. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please get in touch.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
Individual therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes each. The frequency of sessions is typically weekly or biweekly.

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST?
It depends! There is no set period of time that all clients will receive treatment. The length of treatment depends on each individual client's treatment goals and client preference. Outpatient therapy is entirely voluntary - you have no obligation to stay for set period of time.
WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?
Office hours vary Monday through Friday. Please inquire using the contact form regarding a therapists' current availability.

ARE SESSIONS IN PERSON OR TELEHEALTH?
SPEP is happy to offer in person services at the Queen Village location, telehealth services, or a hybrid of both.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes! We have therapists paneled with Aetna, United/Optum, Cigna, and HIghmark. We are not Medicare or Medicaid providers. Please see Insurance & Rates page for more info.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS?
Out-of-pocket pay is $140 per 50 minute session.

DO YOU HAVE SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Yes! We have a limited number of slots available for sliding scale rates based off of income level. Please contact us to inquire if any sliding scale slots are currently open.
GOOD FAITH ASSESSMENT
All individuals who are paying out of pocket or using OON benefits will be given a good faith estimate upon intake. The No Surprises Act requires all healthcare providers to provide their clients with a transparent understanding of what they should expect to be charged for scheduled services.
